Here at Elm Academy we take pride in developing outstanding progress and learning for all by holding the highest expectations of all our pupils and by knowing the children well. We challenge all pupils to strive for academic, creative, sporting, spiritual, moral, social and cultural accomplishment within a broad, vibrant and enriched curriculum. We are a school that sets no limits on learning or achievement. We celebrate perseverance, resilience and risk taking, ensuring children welcome challenge. We encourage children to take ownership of and responsibility for their learning, so they have the confidence and curiosity to ask questions, solve problems and respond to quality feedback.
Elm Academy is a primary school situated in Bournemouth, it joined Ambitions Academy trust in October 2017. Elm Academy provides education to mainstream primary pupils aged from 4-11 years from the West Howe and the local surrounding areas
It is our aim that pupils leave Elm Academy as literate, numerate, confident young people with high aspirations, independent learning skills and a sense of moral responsibility and an appetite for future learning.
At Elm Academy the curriculum will be taught with the consideration of the needs of all learners. Our curriculum will be exciting and will inspire children to nurture a passion for learning. The curriculum provides the perfect mix of knowledge, creativity and skills development to promote excellence and enjoyment of learning. We believe that exciting, engaging lessons, adapted individually to each child’s needs are the best way to ensure every child succeeds. Reading, Writing and Maths are taught daily in our school, ensuring that all children develop the core key skills they will need. These core skills are then applied in other subjects, giving children opportunities to refine, practise and master their knowledge in practical and engaging contexts.
At Elm Academy, every child is important and deserves success. We will support to provide a safe learning environment and will nurture your children helping them to build high esteem and encouraging them to achieve their full potential. We aim to build close relationships with each child and adults in our school community and recognise that each child is a unique and precious individual.
Thank you for taking time to visit our website and we very much look forward to welcoming you to Elm Academy.
